No pork in Obama's proposal?

Well if you can believe what Obama is saying about not one cent in the stimulation plan is pork, then you probably believe that crude oil is holding between $35 and $45 per barrel because oil bearing nations are worried about our economy and the world economy.

If you believe the news, oil bearing nations are kind and considerate, they worry about our well being, they worry about the poor and our economy. The fact is many of the oil bearing nations are not our friends, they are our sworn enemies! Iran, Venezuela, Russia and other eastern nations are not looking out for our welfare, the reason the oil price has not skyrocketed since Obama's election is the fact that oil consumption is going down creating vast overages during a time where there is little demand and they just can't pull all the nations together to agree on restricting the production of oil. Do not forget, OPEC voted to reduce production to drive the prices back above $100 per barrel. When prices are down, oil bearing nations need to pump all they can to make their budgets. When prices are low, their is no money for weapons, and war.

The Obama and Congress plans are full of pork; pork for Hollywood, pork for million dollar frisbee golf parks, millions for footpaths and bike paths, billions for health programs, much of the plan is a payback for the libs support!

You might ask how Obama can stand before us and state that there is no pork in the bill, when we all know there is; well the answer is not hard to find if you know your history. Liberals are masters at reidentifying or renaming things. Remember back a few years ago when the Republicans were fighting against abortions; today they fight against freedom of choice. Libs have now reidentified aborting babies as "freedom of choice for women".

Libs are for windmill fields but not in Senator Kennedy's back yard. Libs are for drilling but only far offshore where there is no oil. Sometimes they are the left, sometimes they are liberals. Liberals are for national security, they are for a greener world, they are for women's rights. Except when national security means drilling in sensitive areas. Liberals stand up for women and against abuse of women, except when the offender is Bill Clinton. The liberal Congress prosecutes pro ball players for lying about taking steroids, but not Bill Clinton for lying about sex in the white house. The liberal press loved Hillary Clinton, they protected her, they groomed her, they all loved her, until Obama came along then it was Hillary Who? Originally President Bush proposed to go back to Iraq after Iraq violated seventeen UN resolutions. When various countries of the world all stated that Iraq was stockpiling weapons of mass destruction all of Congress stood on the podium with the president proposing war. Don't forget Saddam stood before the world and declared war on the US, and it was Saddam that stated that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction and that he would release then on the Allied forces.

But as always Congress reidentified the purpose of the war as to eliminate the weapons of mass destruction, instead of the truth that Iraq violated the terms of their surrender of the first gulf war, or the other seventeen resolutions declared by the UN. Senator Reed declared the war was lost but yet the war has accomplished so many of the goals, and now Iraq is holding democratic elections. Iraq is now a free nation again.

To liberals, compromise and bipartisan means that Republicans must abandoned proven
economic principals and agree with them. Liberals want to remove any mention of Christ and faith from our history and from our country. They want all mention of public prayer removed from schools, they want manger scenes removed from governmental properties at Christmas time; yet we all watched our president place his hand on the bible while being sworn into office, we all watch Congress start each session with a prayer.

My columns are typically not so political, but I want all of you to understand the the oil industry is political. Many decisions in this world, greatly affects the price of oil.

Obama's energy plan will not provide much energy for ten to twenty years. President Obama states in his speeches that he is looking for an impact of ten to 20 percent within 20 years. Obama's proposals call for replacing $1.65 gasoline with $4 to 5 dollar alternative fuels. Can you not see the problem with that logic? Obama needs to drill now and slowly eliminate oil for various uses as affordable technologies are discovered. That is logical and a good compromise.
